Galliano seems to have been the name of the builder commissioned by Matilda of Tuscany to construct a castle, destroyed in 1718. All that survives of the complex are one of the seven towers (later converted to a bell-tower) and the moat, covered in 1921. Although the tower stands in Governolo (a Roncoferraro hamlet), it falls under Bagnolo San Vito administration.
