The core of the collection centres on paintings, drawings, sculptures and graphics by local artists, dating from the late 19C to the second half of the 20C and with works by Baldissara, Cavicchini, Celada, Gambetti, Gorni, Pio, Defendi Semeghini, Viani and Villani.

The original legacy has been enriched by works, principally graphics and painted works, acquired or donated by artists and their heirs, including Carpeggiani, Padova, Gatto, Vincenzi, Gambetti, Bodini and Viviani.
