The present parish church was inaugurated in 1863 but recent restoration work has uncovered traces of an early Romanesque church facing east-west that was partially restructured between the late 16C and the early 17C.
Severe and elegant, it is Neoclassical in style, with just a nave; this and the transept form an almost Greek-cross plan.
